Continuity of Care:

From the First State to the Sunshine State.

Don't let your mental health progress take a vacation. If you split your time between Delaware and Florida, you can keep the same therapist year-round. We provide a seamless transition so you don’t have to ‘re-tell your story’ to a new provider every time the seasons change.”

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. This is the primary benefit of working with an interstate-licensed therapist. Because Lindsay Daws is fully licensed in both Delaware and Florida, your care is continuous. You don't have to hit "pause" on your progress or start over with a new therapist just because you’ve changed locations.

  • We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform (SimplePractice). At the start of every session, we will briefly verify your current physical address in Florida for safety and compliance. Aside from the change in scenery, your sessions will remain exactly the same as they are in Delaware.

  • Lindsay Daws is fully licensed as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. Unlike providers who only have a "telehealth registration," Lindsay meets the full clinical and educational requirements of the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling.

  • If you are a Delaware resident with a DE-based insurance plan, most plans continue to cover your sessions while you are traveling, provided your therapist is licensed in your current location. For Florida-local residents, we can discuss out-of-network benefits or private pay options during our initial consultation.

  • Your safety is the priority. During our first "Florida-based" session, we will update your crisis plan to include local resources near your Florida residence, including the nearest crisis center and local emergency contact numbers.

  • You will be asked to sign a Telehealth Consent Addendum that specifically outlines Florida’s telehealth statutes. This ensures that your care meets the legal standards of both states simultaneously.ption text goes here
